Work for 6 performers with pebbles, boulders, bushes, a bell, a cello and a bow
You have the unique opportunity to work with world-renowned composer and sound artist Georg Nussbaumer (Austria). He is organising a four-day workshop to prepare participants for his performance “Avalanche, Forest and Bow Exercises”, which will take place on 3 June in a special programme of the festival. In this performance, the artist uses real stones, bushes and bells. The participants will first have to get to know these materials, tame them and make them move. You will learn to discover a form of movement that allows you to “disappear” as a person and the characters on stage – the stones, bushes or bells – to come alive. You will learn to transform your individual movements into a common polyphony. After four consecutive days of workshops, you will be ready to take part in an original video and sound performance.
If you ever dreamed of performing on the stage at a professional theatre that is your chance. The participants will need to attend all the workshops. Workshops will result in a performance for audiences on Sat 03 June, 7pm.
Dates: Mon 30 May – Sat 03 June, 4pm
Age: from 15 years
Duration: 3 hours. x 4 days
Number of participants: 8 basic +
Venue: Long Hall
The workshop will be held in English.
